Welcome to First Baptist Church

Welcome! First Baptist Church of Fayetteville is many things: a historic congregation, a beautiful building, service and missions oriented, a congregation that affirms women in ministry, a place where all ages can grow in the study of scripture, and a people who seek God in worship and prayer.

We are a family united by our faith and our desire to serve, grow and worship God together. We know each other by name and share in each other’s lives. Like the members of the very first Christian church, we pray together, worship together, serve the needs of others together, and love to eat together! FBC is affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and shares in holy friendship with many other churches in our city that differ from us denominationally.

If you are seeking a church where you will be loved and supported, where you can use your gifts to serve others, where we sing classic hymns to the swell of an organ without being afraid to hear the music of a guitar, where you can come as you are and be loved as you are, and where you are surrounded by a family from babies to senior adults all seeking Christ together, come and visit with us.

Attire? Some dress up, some are casual. We want to build a Christian relationship with you either way.

In Christ’s continued service, Rev. Rob James
